We Pray (Children’s Book Review)

To any orthodox parent out there, I highly recommend the newly released Ancient Faith Publishing book, We Pray, by Daniel G. Opperwall.

We were gifted this book, by the lovely John and Tonya Maddex, co-founders of Ancient Faith Ministries. The Honey Badger loves this book. She is 2 years old now, but I believe that this book would be relevant for children of all ages. We try to read this book every night before bed.

The entire book is beautifully illustrated with flowing descriptions about the prayer life of Orthodox believers. We learn about praying for our church, our priest, our families, the Lord’s prayer, the Jesus Prayer, and much, much more! I read the evening prayers to my daughter, which are located at the end of the book,  as we make the sign of the cross.

This book is perfect for any Orthodox family to be read aloud together. It also makes for a great gift in celebration of new life (a book for a baby shower or baptism), a birthday, Christmas, or a name day!

You can find more information about this book at the Ancient Faith website.
